MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I am filled with immense gratitude for this unique opportunity to serve.  To those who nominated  me and to each of you who believe in me throughout this journey, I am deeply humbled.  Your confidence is both inspiring and empowering and I am truly honoured to represent our esteemed Alma Mater as the President of AWOGA UK.

As I embrace the responsibilities of this role, I assure you that my commitment to you is unwavering. I pledge to serve with integrity, dedication and an open heart, always placing the needs and aspirations of our community at the forefront.

Our cherished motto Non sibi sed omnibus, "Not for self but for all”, is a powerful reminder of the values we hold dear.  It will be my guiding light as we work together to enrich our school, empower our members and expand the opportunities available to all.

Moving forward, our focus will be on achieving specific goals that will elevate AWOGA UK to new heights. Together we will:

• Enhance the growth of the association.
• Generate income to sustain and expand our initiatives.
• Take our association to a higher level of major impact and influence.

A key focus will be on ICT empowerment to enhance the future of our girls. ICT will be integrated into the curriculum soon; however, we need substantial funds to facilitate this project.

I extend a heartfelt thank you to our Digital Transformation Project team for their dedication and tireless efforts in turning what was once a dream into reality. Their unmatched tenacity as they explore various avenues to raise funds is truly inspiring.

It will be amiss if I do not recognize the dedicated team who reviewed our bylaws.  Thanks to their unwavering commitment, the revised bylaws came into effect in March 2024.  I deeply appreciate their hard work. It was not easy, but their perseverance delivered outstanding results.

In addition, our collaboration with the Sierra Leone Grammar School has enabled us to send students to ICT summer school for the past two years.  I am proud to share that because of this programme, our girls secured second place in two competitions, which is a testament to their dedication and potential.

Together, we will listen, collaborate and innovate.  By nurturing our shared values and fostering a spirit of unity and service, we will create a brighter and stronger future for AWOGA UK.

Let us move forward hand in hand, inspired by our common purpose and strengthened by our bond as proud alumni of the Annie Walsh Memorial School.  With God's grace and guidance, I am confident that we will achieve great things together.

Thank you once again for your belief in me and my team.  I look forward to embarking on this journey with you all by my side.
